The Group is engaged in the import of crude soyabean oil, palm oil, pulses and raw cashew nut. Crude soyabean oil is imported from South American countries like Argentina and Brazil. Some parts of the imported consignments are sold to buyers on high seas and the rest is processed and then sold to various customers.
Presently, soyabean oil is becoming very popular in India and as per the latest reports soyabean oil accounts for 60% of the oil consumed in this country and the consumption is expected to go up since this oil is very low in fats, rich in proteins and the cost is very low.
Pulses are imported from Australia and Canada and are being sold to various processing plants across the country. Palm oil is imported from Malaysia and has a ready market in India. Raw cashew is imported from African countries, is processed in India and exported back to USA and European countries. At present, we are in the business of imports only and are expected to enter the export market very soon.
