Another subject close to the Group’s CSR initiatives is
women’s empowerment. The Group is currently associated
with women, Work and Health, an international NGO that
focuses on women’s issues at the domestic and work
front. The organization identifies issues relating to
woman’s health, realizing the role women’s health plays
in the development of the family as a unit. Women, work
and health has numerous Indian NGOs associated with it
in improving the health and work condition for women in
the developed and developing countries. The NGO
organizes annual conferences each year at different
locations. India was the venue for 2005, and the Group
participated in the conference as the Platinum Sponsor.
